Share links, and how to revoke one
1 min read Updated 3 Oct 2026
Sending a report to somebody with no account.
Every report can be shared as a link. The recipient needs no account, no app and no password.
The token is the credential
Anyone holding the link can see the report. That is the point — the homeowner is never going to create an account — but it means the link should be treated as a secret.
Controls
- Expiry. Set a date after which the link stops working.
- Revoke. Turn sharing off. The link dies immediately.
- Rotate. Issue a new token. Every copy of the old link stops
working at once, which is what you want after a link has been forwarded somewhere it should not have gone.
Views are counted, so you can see whether it was opened.
Live project links
A different thing, and often better for a homeowner: a link that follows the job rather than a report, so they watch progress instead of being sent a PDF every Friday. Job → Details → share.
