Setting up your first job

Why the address matters more than the name.
A job in Trace is a place. The name is for humans; the coordinates are what make everything else work.
Creating one
Projects → Project. Give it a name and an address. Trace stores the coordinates, and from that moment any photo taken within range files itself.
The match radius
Each job has a radius, in metres, inherited from your company default. A downtown rowhouse and a forty-acre solar site need very different numbers:
- Tight sites, jobs close together: 50–80m
- Ordinary residential: 120–150m, the default
- Large commercial or rural: 400m and up
Set it too wide and two neighbouring jobs become ambiguous — at which point Trace stops auto-filing and asks, which is the correct behavior but slows the crew down.
A job with no coordinates
Perfectly allowed, and sometimes right — a workshop, a stock job, a catch-all. It simply never auto-matches, and photos have to be filed by hand. The job list flags this so it is never a surprise.
