License

The short version

Trace is sold as a one-time license. You get the source, you run it on your own infrastructure, and there is no per-user fee and no per-month fee.

What you may do

• Deploy this software for one organization, on any number of servers.
• Modify the source however you like.
• Rebrand it — name, logo, colours, copy, and every legal document including

this one.

• Keep using it indefinitely. A license does not expire.

What you may not do

• Redistribute the source, in whole or in substantial part, as a product,

template or starter kit.

• Resell it as a competing software product.
• Remove or obscure copyright notices in the source itself.

Multiple organizations

A single license covers one organization. Operating the software as a service for several unrelated companies — which the application supports — requires an extended license.

Support and updates

What is included is stated at the point of sale. This license does not itself promise support, updates or a service level.

Warranty

The software is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. The authors are not liable for any claim or damages arising from its use.
